If you need a replacement ballot

If you spoil, deface or lose your ballot, you may obtain a replacement ballot, one at a time, not to exceed three ballots in all. You may contact the Elections Office to obtain instructions for requesting a replacement ballot by calling 970-945-2377 Ext. 1770.

Replacement Ballots may be requested from the Garfield County Elections Office during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday, or on Election Day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Early Voting

You will also have the option of casting your vote prior to Election Day at one of the early voting sites in Garfield County. Those places are:
Glenwood Springs Courthouse – 109 8th Street, (Room 101c) – Glenwood Springs
Human Services Building (Conference Room) – 195 West 14th Street – Rifle

By law, Early Voting begins on Monday, October 20, 2008 and ends on Friday, October 31, 2008.

You need to bring one of the following forms of identification in order to Vote.

  • A valid Colorado Driver’s License
  • A valid identification card issued by the Colorado Department of Revenue
  • A valid U.S. Passport
  • A valid employee identification card with a photograph of the eligible elector issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the United States government or of this state, or by any county, municipality, board, authority, or other political subdivision of this state
  • A valid pilot’s license issued by the federal aviation administration or other authorized agency of the United States
  • A valid U.S. military identification card with a photograph
  • A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other governmental documents that show the name and address of the elector
  • A valid Medicare or Medicaid card
  • A certified copy of a U.S. birth certificate
  • Certified documentation of naturalization
  • Polling Places

    The traditional way to vote by going to your local polling place on Election Day. The hours are from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

    These are the Combined Polling Places where you can vote. Paper ballots will be available or you may choose to vote electronically on the disabled accessible units found at each location.

    If you did not receive a Blue Book in the mail, you can go to the following website and print off or review online the information provided by the State of Colorado. www.leg.state.co.us go to Ballot Issues on the left nine (9) items from the top, click and then on the right it shows BLUE BOOK.

    New Location for Glenwood Luncheons

    The Glenwood Republican luncheons will now be held at the Fiesta Guadalajara Restaurant at 503 Pine Street (just west of the Hotel Colorado).

    Republican Luncheons

    Garfield County Republicans will meet the 2nd Wednesday of every month at Fiesta Guadalajara in Rifle. The Glenwood Luncheon is the 3rd Wednesday of every month at the Fiesta Guadalajara Restaraunt. The luncheons are scheduled from Noon to 1 PM.
