Welcome Letter

On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Garfield County Republican Party, we would like to welcome you to our new web site. This site is intended to connect all Republicans and anyone who supports our philosophy. On the homepage you will find a description of that philosophy (our fundamental values and principles). You will also find links to other web sites that have information on a wide variety of subjects. There is a calendar section for locally scheduled events that may be of interest to you. Most importantly, there is a “Contact Us” link that allows you to easily give us feedback and suggestions.

Please bookmark this page and visit it often. Tell us what you think and make suggestions; this is your site.

We, as a local party, have our work cut out for us leading up to the 2008 elections held in November. There are many offices up for re-election. We, the Executive Committee, have set up a series of goals and have been working diligently on these items. Our progress will be reported to you on this website.

Many opportunities exist to help. We need dedicated people to work on:

1)    A scrapbook for press coverage of relevant items from the local media.

2)    Encouraging and organizing letters to the editor on issues our party members feel strongly about.

3)    Organizing an affordable donations committee (less than $50.00). These donations are a vital part of fundraising.

4)    Organizing and maintaining our ever-growing database.

5)    Recruiting new members to our Party, particularly the younger generation of new voters. These young people are our future leaders.

Many of these important duties can be accomplished at home and do not require a huge commitment of your time. Let’s all work together to make our local party something that we all can be proud of. Tell us how you can help!
